Psa 145:18-20 (KJV) The LORD is nigh unto all them that call
upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. He will fulfil the
desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will
save them. The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the
wicked will he destroy.
Psa 145:18-20 (TEV) He is near to those who call to him, who
call to him with sincerity. He supplies the needs of those who honor
him; he hears their cries and saves them. He protects everyone who
loves him, but he will destroy the wicked.
Psalm 145:18-20 (AMP) The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
to all who call upon Him sincerely and in truth. He will fulfill
the desires of those who reverently and worshipfully fear Him; He
also will hear their cry and will save them. The Lord preserves all
those who love Him, but all the wicked will He destroy.

Vs. 19 Fulfil the desire. Holy hearts will desire only what is
holy, so God has no problem in fulfilling such desires. He does not
promise to grant the desire of the sinner. It would not be wise or kind

Vs. 19 Hear their cry. As the tender mother's love is drawn out
toward the cry of her child, so the Lord's ear is ever attuned to hear

COMMENTARY / APPLICATION
WHAT IS GOD TEACHING HERE? WHAT DOES IT TEACH ABOUT JESUS?
The Lord is faithful to do all that He promises in His Word, and
in this particular verse He says that He will fulfill your desire.
Why do you suppose the Lord can speak so positively about your
desire? Can it be that when you are His child, He places His desire for
you in your heart so that when you discover it, He is more than
willing to fulfill it? What is the desire of your heart? Have you
stopped long enough in the last few months to know what heart-longings
you have? Today is a great day to look deeply into your heart and
discover what exactly it is that you are longing for. If you discover
that your longings do not line up with the Word of God, ask Him to
replace your desires with His. [In His Time; Walk With Wisdom]
Prayer is the breath of the soul. It is the secret of spiritual
power. No other means of grace can be substituted, and the health of
the soul be preserved. Prayer brings the heart into immediate
contact with the Well-spring of life, and strengthens the sinew and
muscle of the religious experience. Neglect the exercise of prayer, or
engage in prayer spasmodically, now and then, as seems convenient, and
you lose your hold on God. The spiritual faculties lose their
vitality, the religious experience lacks health and vigor. {GW 254.4}
If we keep the Lord ever before us, allowing our hearts to go
out in thanksgiving and praise to Him, we shall have a continual
freshness in our religious life. Our prayers will take the form of a
conversation with God as we would talk with a friend. He will speak His
mysteries to us personally. Often there will come to us a sweet, joyful
sense of the presence of Jesus...... Prayer turns aside the attacks of
