Luke 1:37 - God's Promises Never Fail.

Luke 1:37; God's Promises Never Fail.

Luke 1:37 (KJV) For with God nothing shall be impossible.

Luke 1:37 (TEV) For there is nothing that God cannot do.

Luke 1:37 (NCV) God can do anything!

Luke 1:37 (REB) For God's promises can never fail.

Luke 1:37 (TLB) For every promise from God shall surely come
true.

In other early manuscripts, the reading is, "no word from God
will be void of power" (see ASV). In other words, God's word has the
dynamo to accomplish what had been uttered. [Jamieson, Fausset, And
Brown Commentary]

The thought of this verse is expressed repeatedly throughout the
Scriptures. To Abraham came the question, "Is any thing too hard for the
Lord?" (see on Gen. 18:14). Through Isaiah God proclaimed, "My word ...
shall not return unto me void" (Isa. 55:11). [SDA Commentary]

Mary had learned to forget the world's commonest prayer--"Thy
will be changed"--and to pray the world's greatest prayer--"Thy will
be done." [Barclay Commentary]

What God has promised, He is able to perform. {DA 98.2}

In all conflicts, let us remember that with God nothing is
impossible; and as we read and hear his promises, let us turn them into
prayers, [Matthew Henry Commentary]

Surely one of the most reassuring statements in all Scripture.
