Isaiah 55:8, 9 - God's Thoughts And Ways Are Higher Than Ours.

Isaiah 55:8, 9 (NIV) "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, 
neither are your ways my ways," declares the LORD. 9 "As the heavens are 
higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my 
thoughts than your thoughts." 

Isaiah 55:8-9 (NLT) "My thoughts are nothing like your 
thoughts," says the LORD. "And my ways are far beyond anything you could 
imagine. 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways 
are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts. 
 

Isaiah 55:8-9 (MSG) "I don't think the way you think. The way 
you work isn't the way I work." GOD's Decree. 9 "For as the sky 
soars high above earth, so the way I work surpasses the way you work, 
and the way I think is beyond the way you think.  

   Having longed for many years to visit the Christians in Rome 
and minister to them (see Romans 15:23), Paul prays that the time 
was at last about to come. His prayer would be answered, of course, 
though not under the circumstances he expected. When he finally 
arrived, he was in chains (see Acts 28:16, 20); instead of visiting the 
Roman Christians, they would have to visit him while he lived under 
house arrest.  
   God's answer to Paul's prayer, however, likely accomplished 
more than the apostle originally envisioned. He explains later in 
Philippians 1:12-13 that his confinement allowed the gospel to be heard by 
the palace guard, an audience that wouldn't have heard him preach if 
he had visited Rome on his own. And being tied up in legal 
proceedings gave Paul influence in government circles. His prayers were 
answered much more thoroughly than he imagined. [NIV Once A Day Bible re
