Jeremiah 29:13: Seeking and Finding God.

Jeremiah 29:13 (NIV) You will seek me and find me when you seek 
me with all your heart. 

   God promises us, once again, his presence. He's right there 
at any moment, offering us the gift of his loving presence before 
we even ask.  
   How do we seek him with all of our hearts? Establishing a few 
routines can make that happen. Our morning routine can involve some type 
of surrender and devotion before God. If you're not a morning 
person, you don't have to dedicate a full hour of prayer time. It's 
simply a time of bowing your heart before God, saying, "Lord, I devote 
this day to you, my heart, my life." This is a way to begin a 
surrendered day, following him wherever he leads.  
   Another way is to feed our souls with nourishment from the 
Bible. It is God's love letter to us, and he reveals himself through 
his Word. The psalmist says about God's Word, "The precepts of the 
LORD are right, giving joy to the heart" (Psalm 19:8). 
   It's a tremendous blessing to seek God with all our hearts. 
How replenishing it is when we make a practice of seeking him as

   I invite you to gaze upon My beauty and to seek Me more and 
more. This is a most delightful invitation! You can get glimpses of My 
loveliness in the wonders of nature, but these are only tiny, weak 
reflections of My massive Glory. The best is indeed yet to come - when you 
will see Me face to Face in heaven. For now, gazing upon My beauty 
requires focusing on My unseen Presence through prayer and meditating on 
My Word.  
   Foundational to your search for Me is remembering that I am 
continually with you, I am always attuned to you, and I am training you to 
be increasingly aware of Me. Place reminders of My Presence in your 
home, car, and office. Whisper My Name to remind you of My nearness. 
Sing praises to Me. Read or recite Scripture passages out loud. Find 
others who desire to know Me more fully, and share this glorious quest 
with them. Seek-Me, and require Me as a vital necessity; search for 
Me with all your heart. (Psa. 27:4; 1Co. 13:12; Jer. 29:13) [Jesus

   As you listen to birds calling to one another, hear also My 
Love-call to you. I speak to you continually: through sights, sounds, 
thoughts, impressions, scriptures. There is no limit to the variety of 
ways I can communicate with you. Your part is to be attentive to My 
messages, in whatever form they come. When you set out to find Me in a 
day, you discover that the world is vibrantly alive with My Presence. 
You can find Me not only in beauty and birdcalls, but also in 
tragedy and faces filled with grief. I can take the deepest sorrow and 
weave it into a pattern for good.  
   Search for Me and My messages, as you go through this day. 
You will seek Me and find Me when you seek Me with your whole being.

   You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all 
your heart. This is a delightful assignment, but it is also quite 
challenging. Spending time enjoying My Presence is a privilege reserved for 
those who know Me as Savior and Lord. To maximize the benefits of this 
precious experience, you need to seek Me wholeheartedly. However, your 
mind is often a tangled, unfocused mess. Enlist My Spirit to protect 
your mind and heart from distractions, distortions, deception, 
anxiety, and other entanglements. This will help you unscramble your 
thoughts and calm your heart - freeing you to search for Me unhindered. 
   I want you to seek Me not only in quiet times but also when 
you are engaged in other matters. Your astonishing brain is able to 
focus on Me even when you are busy. The simple prayer "Jesus, keep me 
aware of your Presence can be like soft background music in your mind 
- playing continuously underneath your other mental activities. 
When your mind is stayed on Me, I keep you in perfect Peace. (Jer.
