Luke 14:23 - SHARING JESUS.

Luke 14:23 (NKJV) Then the master said to 
the servant, "Go out into the highways and 
hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house 
may be filled."  

COMMENTARY PEARL

   When I first became a Christian, I could 
barely contain my excitement about my newfound 
faith. I read my Bible every day without fail, 
prayed fervently, and was in church almost every 
time the doors were open. I was on fire for the 
Lord. I loved Him and wanted others to love Him 
too. At the time, I worked at a major newspaper 
where I found other Christians to fellowship with; 
we even had a weekly Bible study during 
lunchtime. But one of the most fulfilling experiences 
early in my faith was sharing Jesus with 
nonbelievers. Most of these folks were not hostile toward 
the Gospel; they had just never heard it. They 
had no idea who Jesus was beyond the baby in the 
manger. 
   My job was my mission field, and there 
were plenty of souls ripe for the harvest. But I 
really invested my time and effort in the single 
mothers. I had been an unmarried mother myself, and I 
had a heart for them. Although my son's father 
was in his life and we later married, I 
understood the challenges they faced. My story and my 
walk with Jesus, I liked to think, helped those 
ladies, and that means something to me. Jesus wants 
us to share the Good News with everyone in our 
circle. He has many children, but He wants them all 
to know how much He loves them! So He's 
counting on us to fulfill the Great Commission 
(Matthew 28:19-20). by Carol Mackey 
   Faith Step: Is there someone in your 
everyday life who doesn't know Jesus's love? Invite 
them to church. Some people may feel uneasy at 
first about being in a formal congregation. If 
that's the case, invite them to an informal church 
event - a picnic, potluck, or retreat. [Mornings
