lonely places and prayed.

to be alone so he could pray. 

COMMENTARY PEARL

   We all have times when we just want to 
get away from it all, and when that is the case, 
we need to know it is a very good choice to 
make. Jesus often walked away from everything and 
everyone and went somewhere alone to pray. He even 
walked away from valid needs at times so He could 
be refreshed in God's presence. 
   I walk every morning outside, if at all 
possible, and it is one of the times for me when I get 
away from it all. I like to walk alone and use 
the hour and a half that I am out to simply 
think, talk to God, and be out in nature. Although 
I'm exercising, it does a lot for me mentally 
and emotionally, too. You might think of a daily 
walk as a way of getting away from it all. 
   When my children were little, sometimes 
the bathroom was my place to get away from it 
all. This short break would help me collect my 
emotions and be ready to face the world again. 
   Your life may be very good and you may 
have no pressing problems right now, but you 
still need time to be alone and think prayerfully. 
If you do have difficulty in your life right 
now, you might need two walks a day! Don't 
hesitate to take the time you need in order to be the 
person you want to be. 
   Father, thank You for helping me realize 
that I need time to get away from everything else
