Revelation 21:4 - It Is Not Yet The End!

Revelation 21:4 (NLT) He[God] will wipe 
every tear from their eyes, and there will be no 
more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these 
things are gone forever.  

COMMENTARY PEARL

   One of my favorite movie lines comes from 
the The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Patel is a 
young man struggling to revive his familys 
dilapidated hotel. Whenever something doesnt work out 
or a problem arises, he tells the other person, 
In India, we have a saying: Everything will 
be all right in the end. So if it is not all 
right, it is not yet the end. Some people 
scoff at what they see as Patels blind 
optimism, but guess what? By the end of the movie, 
things do turn out all right.  
   Maybe I need to hear Patels favorite 
saying every day. Dont get me wrong - I 
understand that we live in a world broken by sin. I 
know that Jesus told us to expect troubles in 
this earthly life. Yet still I look for the 
fairy-tale ending. I grow impatient waiting for loose 
ends to be wrapped up in a neat, tidy way. I want 
to see wrongs righted, broken relationships 
restored, and evil conquered by good.  
   Although there are many things I dont 
fully understand in the book of Revelation, Im 
so glad it lets us know that one day well 
witness the ending we long for. Jesus will lead an 
army in the final battle to eradicate evil. All 
things will be made new. We will live with Jesus 
forever and no longer experience suffering, 
heartache, pain, or death. In the meantime, when a 
problem arises, or things dont seem to be working 
out, I need to remember thats because .
