Jeremiah 29:11 - Gods Plans For Us Are Good; Giving Us Hope And A Future.
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I
have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you
hope and a future.
COMMENTARY PEARL
God is good, so by nature, he cannot do
bad things. Everything he does is good. And,
because he is good, Gods plans for your life will
always be good.
God didnt have to create a plan for
your life. He could have just let you be born and
wander around aimlessly.
But God made you with a purpose. He gave
you a plan for your life.
Jeremiah 29:11-12 says, I know what
I am planning for you, says the Lord. I
have good plans for you, not plans to hurt you. I
will give you a hope and a good future. Then you
will call my name. You will come to me and pray
to me, and I will listen to you (NCV).
Do you see the connection between prayer
and Gods plans for your life? They are
revealed and realized through prayer.
The more you pray, the more youre
going to understand Gods plan. When you pray to
him, he promises to listen, answer, and reveal
more of himself to you. [Daily Devotional by Rick

COMMENTARY
Gods purpose from all eternity is to
prepare a family to indwell the kingdom of God.
For I know the plans I have for you, declares
the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm
you, plans to give you a hope and a future.
(Jeremiah 29:11).
Gods plotting for our good. In all the
setbacks, He is ordaining the best for our future.
Every event of our day is designed to draw us
toward our God and our destiny. When people junk
you in the pit, God can use it for good. When
family members sell you out, God will recycle the
pain. Falsely accused? Utterly abandoned? You
may stumble but you will not fall. You will get
through this!
Not because you are strong, but because
God is. Not because you are big, but because God
is. Not because youre good, but because God
is. He has a place prepared for you! [Max Lucado

The heavenly Father has a grand plan for
the life of every person, and it can be summed
up in the word sanctification. If you have
never been certain of the term's meaning, you are
not alone - many people are unclear about its
definition. However, believers should understand it
because the word defines them.
In its verb form " sanctify - the term
means "to make holy" or "to separate." So when
something is sanctified, it is separated from its
former common usage and is dedicated for sacred
purposes. The Old Testament mentions a number of
things that the Lord sanctified: He made the
seventh day holy, set aside the Levite tribe as
priests, and even consecrated places like the Holy of
Holies inside the tabernacle (Gen. 2:3; Num. 3).
The heavenly Father still sanctifies
people today. Before a person places his faith in
the Savior, he is spiritually dead and, in fact,
an enemy of God (Eph. 2:1-3; Rom. 5:10). But
the moment someone chooses to trust in Jesus
Christ, his sins are wiped away, and he is adopted
into God's family. That individual is set apart
as a child of God, with a sacred purpose. This
means believers are not here to chase after
personal gain but to serve the Lord and bring Him
honor and glory.
As members of God's family who are called
upon to reflect His glory, believers are referred
to as "saints." We are given this moniker -
which shares its root with sanctification - not
because we live sinless lives, but because we live a
life consistent with the One we represent. [In

ILLUSTRATION
In the early years of our church, we were
blessed to see tremendous growth. After finally
constructing our first real church building, it wasn't
long before it was packed to capacity with
multiple services.
While that is what most would call a
"good problem," it was still a problem. Week after
week, we consistently turned people away, unable
to fit them into the building. With as much
faith as I could muster, I asked God to provide.
Surely he would speak to multiple wealthy people
who could give enough to help us build something
bigger.
But the more we prayed, the more we
sensed God wasn't going to do what we were asking
him to do. It was only after this sense of
disappointment that God answered our prayers in a very
different way. Once I finally started to surrender my
will, our team had an idea. What if, instead of
doing church at one building, we did church in two
locations?
This idea opened the door to enable us to
reach tens of thousands of more people than I ever
dreamed possible. What seemed like a no from God was
more of a redirecting from him. That's when I
learned that true prayer isn't about getting our
will, but surrendering our will.
Whatever you are facing, don't be afraid
to ask for what you want. But don't forget to
remind yourself that our good God knows best.
Dear Father, you really do know best, and
even when it might not be what I asked for, I
will trust in you and your perfect will. [Daily

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS
Come to Me with a teachable spirit, eager to
be changed. A close walk with Me is a life of
continual newness. Do not cling to old ways as you
step into a new day. Instead, seek My Face with
an open mind, knowing that your journey with Me
involves being transformed by the renewing of your
mind. As you focus your thoughts on Me, be aware
that I am fully attentive to you. I see you with
a steady eye, because My attention span is
infinite. I know and understand you completely; My
thoughts embrace you in everlasting Love. I also know
the plans I have for you: plans to prosper you
and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and
a future. Give yourself fully to this
adventure of increasing attentiveness to My Presence.
(Rom. 12:2; Jer. 29:11) [Jesus Calling by Sarah
Young]
Approach this day with awareness of Who is
Boss. As you make plans for the day remember that
it is I who orchestrate the events of your
life. On days when things go smoothly, according
to your plans you may be unaware of My
sovereign Presence. On days when your plans are
thwarted, be on the lookout for Me! I may be doing
something important in your life, something quite
different from what you expected. It is essential at
such times to stay in communication with Me
accepting My way as better than yours. Don't try to
figure out what is happening. Simply trust Me and
thank Me in advance for the good that will come
out of it all. I know the plans I have for you
and they are good. (Isa. 55:9-11; Jer. 29:11)
[Jesus Calling by Sarah Young]
Relax, My child. I'm in control. Let
these words wash over you repeatedly, like
soothing waves on a beautiful beach, assuring you of
My endless Love. You waste a lot of time and
energy trying to figure out things before their
time has come. Meanwhile, I am working to prepare
the way before you. So be on the lookout for
some wonderful surprises - circumstances that
only I could have orchestrated.
Remember that you are My beloved. I am on
your side, and I want what is best for you.
Someone who is loved by a generous, powerful person
can expect to receive an abundance of blessings.
You are loved by the King of the universe, and I
have good plans for you. As you look ahead into
the unknown future, relax in the knowledge of
who you are - the one I love. Cling to My hand,
and go forward with confidence. While you and I
walk together along the path of Life, your trust
in Me will fill your heart with Joy and your
mind with Peace. (Jer. 29:11; Deu. 33:12; Psa.
16:11) [Jesus Always by Sarah Young]
I am taking care of you. Trust Me at all
times. Trust Me in all circumstances. Trust Me with
all your heart. When you are weary and
everything seems to be going wrong, you can still utter
these four words: "I trust You, Jesus." By doing
so, you release matters into My control, and you
fall back into the security of My everlasting
arms.
Before you arise from your bed in the
morning, I have already arranged the events of your
day. Every day provides many opportunities for
you to learn My ways and grow closer to Me.
Signs of My Presence brighten even the dullest day
when you have eyes that really see. Search for Me
as for hidden treasure. I will be found by you.
(Pro. 3:5, 6; Deu. 33:27; Jer. 29:11-14) [Jesus
