Isaiah 57:15 - The God The Heavens Can't Contain Dwells In Every Humble Heart.
Isaiah 57:15 (NIV) For this is what the high
and exalted One says - he who lives forever,
whose name is holy: I live in a high and holy
place, but also with the one who is contrite and
lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly
and to revive the heart of the contrite.
INTRODUCTION
The Lord longs for an intimate relationship
with us. Time spent in communication with Him is
the best way to grow close to Him, as we
recognize His majesty and our own need. [Life
Principles SB By Charles Stanley]
COMMENTARY PEARL
Grace For The Humble
Holy God, you are worthy of all honor and
praise. You are the King of kings, the Lord of
lords. All creation worships you. All good things
are from you. The greatest and richest ruler is
nothing compared to who you are.
God, clothe me with the humility of
Jesus. Give me a gentle spirit and a kind heart -
things I cannot have when my pride gets in the way.
Help me put others before myself and you above
all. Give me a hunger for humility and grace.
Thank you that even when my pride wells
up, you will give me another chance, and in your
grace, you will humble me. Thank you for your
promise to give grace to the humble. Amen. [You Can
Count On God by Max Lucado]
CLOSING THOUGHT
Between the humble and contrite heart and
the majesty of heaven, there are no barriers;
the only password is prayer. Hosea Ballou
