Jude 1:20, 21 - Keep Yourselves In The Love Of God.

Jude 1:20, 21 (NLT) But you, dear friends, 
must build each other up in your most holy faith, 
pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, 21 and 
await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will 
bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep 
yourselves safe in Gods love. 

INTRODUCTION

To "pray in the Holy Spirit" means to pray 
in the power and strength of the Holy Spirit.

To "keep yourselves in God's love" means to 
live close to God and his people, not listening 
to false teachers who would try to pull you 
away from him (John 15:9, 10). [Life Application

COMMENTARY PEARL

Strengthened by Prayer
   How do you build yourself up in faith? 
Strong faith is accomplished by fastening your 
heart to the love of God, receiving the mercy of 
Jesus, and by praying every moment in the Spirit. 
Spiritual strength is found in your connection to God. 
It cannot be measured by another's perception 
of you. It has nothing to do with how many 
physical resources you have. 
   Jesus said when you abide in him you will 
bear his fruit (John 15). Your power comes from 
the source of love himself. Strengthen yourself 
in him by turning your attention to him and 
surrendering to his love. Pray in all circumstances 
whether brushing your teeth or meeting with people 
in a boardroom. Give him your cares, for he 
cares for you! You will find your courage in the 
advocacy of the Holy Spirit. You are seen, known, and 
loved. Press into prayer today and build bricks of 
faith within the structure of your life. 
   Make a practice of prayer today by using 
physical cues such as whenever you go into your 
kitchen, open a door, or brush your teeth. [365 Days

COMMENTARY

To keep your soul in the love of God you 
must place yourselves in the channel of light, 
and breathe in a holy atmosphere; for through 
neglect of any means of grace which God has ordained 
to impart spiritual strength and grace, you 
bring blindness upon your souls, and hardness into 
your hearts, and Satan will lead you to look at 
things in a perverted light. If you have no respect 
for the messages which God sends you by his 
chosen servants, what power has he in reserve that 
will reach your case and correct your errors, so 
that you shall not be led into false paths? The 
garden of your heart must be cultivated. The 
poisonous, Satanic plants must be uprooted, the soil 
must be prepared, thoroughly plowed by the word 
of God, and the precious seeds of truth must be 
sown and tended by a wise, skillful gardener.

These be they who separate themselves, 
sensual, having not the Spirit. But ye, beloved, 
building up yourselves on your most holy faith, 
praying in the Holy Ghost, keep yourselves in the 
love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord

an influence will surround the soul which will
